FIELDS AND FORM WENTWORTH PARK SATURDAY NIGHT

The Daily Telegraph's Adam Dobbin and thedogs.com.au's Tim Newbold preview races five to eight on Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg final night at Wentworth Park.

Race 5: Group 1 Association Cup (720m)

AD: Tim, whichever I cut this I'm struggling not to see class runners PALAWA KING (5) and VALPOLICELLA (8) going one-two. In the end I've landed with the latter, I just see her settling closer in the run and getting the jump on her rival and outlasting him late. CANYA AMY (4) was an eye-catcher from the heats, if there's a knockout I see it as being her and she's come in for good support. Can't wait for this one with the clash of two staying giants.

TIPS: 8,5,4,1

TN: We're singing from the same hymn book in the first of the Group 1s, Adam. Loved what VALPOLICELLA (8) did last week when coming from further back than she normally would. Drawn outside Goulburn Girl, she'll get a clear crack in the early stages to charge across and settle on the speed. She'll take some tossing. Always hard to tip against PALAWA KING (5), he's a machine but as usual he'll be giving away a big start to a talented stayer. CANYA AMY (4) is ready to peak being third up at Wenty but can't see her toppling the big guns.

TIPS: 8,5,4,3

Race 6: Listed Ultra Sense Final (520m)

AD: Fantastic Ultra Sense Final where at a little bit of value I'm going with AU CONTRAIRE (2). She's a bit underrated and I loved her gritty heat win. In a race where finding the front will mean everything, I'll lean her way. WALLACIA MIST (6) rattled the clock in her heat, just slightly concerned about the draw while Jason Magri's duo STOP IT (1) and SPEEDY PIE (3) have sensational form and can quite easily figure. Which way did you go, Tim?

TIPS: 2,6,1,3

TN: I'm with SPEEDY PIE (3) in a wide open race Adam. She's built a ripping record winning eight of just 13 starts and reckon she notches up another victory here. Boxed to lead and give her rivals something to catch. Dangers, well that's anyone's guess. LEG SPEED (4) is a greyhound which will have your heart in your mouth but if the right runs appear, they better look out up front. If WALLACIA MIST (6) went enormous last week, they could well be running for minor money if she nails the start like that again.

TIPS: 3,4,6,1

Race 7: Listed The Ambrosoli (520m)

AD: Victorian's have a good record in The Ambrosoli and I'm tipping more of the same here in SMOOTH PLANE (5). Awesome in his Egg heat before not a lot went right in his semi, can return to the winners' list at good odds. ANGEL SHIRLEY (3) is doing this all before her time but can figure while SHIMA CURRENT (8), a kennelmate to my top pick, isn't without claims either. Tim, it wouldn't surprise to see any of the eight win the way this has unfolded.

TIPS: 5,3,8,1

TN: Thought the race was devoid of genuine early speed which plays into the hands of ANGEL SHIRLEY (3). Yes, she's giving away age and experience to the opposition but she maps perfectly. Clocked a sizzling 29.55 at Wenty about a month ago and a repeat will see her go close. SHIMA CURRENT (8) has the early box speed to cut and run at the first bend and run a cheeky race. GO BEARS (9) comes right into contention now that he gains a start.

TIPS: 3,8,9,5

Race 8: Group 1 Golden Easter Egg (520m)

AD: No surprises here Tim – it's MACKENNA (2). They say seeing is believing and I've seen more than enough the past fortnight – she's a freak. The rest are hoping she puts a foot wrong and if she does NAD AL SHEBA (4) could apply the pressure early and if he leads is a major chance. NANGAR LARRY (7) has the tricky draw but I'm not giving up completely on his hopes, if the pressure does come down on the inside he could just be the one that benefits as a result. Queensland star ALL NATURAL (6) is the other major player but Tim you can't tip ‘em all. If Mackenna lands in front suspect Tommy Shelby's 29.27 race record is under serious threat.

TIPS: 2,4,7,6

TN: Due to the price factor, I've been looking to find something to beat MACKENNA (2) all week but just keep coming back to her. She's been absolutely awesome in both her heat and semi final victories. Suited with a slow beginner on her outer so will get the room to muster in the initial stages. No doubt, it's her race to lose. The top flight Qlder ALL NATURAL (6) is the value runner. Granted he's got a tricky draw but with any luck at the start he'll go close. ZIPPING MEGATRON (3) lacks the early speed of his rivals but has got a booming finish. Loves Wentworth Park. NAD AL SHEBA (4) could ping to the front and pinch it. Great race but I'm with the favourite.

TIPS: 2,6,3,4
